Hey!
Long time no update but that's because i'm too busy with Amy's live-journal, and well Amy in general haha. I can't believe my little girl is a month old already and it's funny how once you have a baby that really seems to be all you care about lol. I could just watch her for hours and cuddle with her for even longer! She is doing really well and I can't wait for her to stop sleeping so much during the day! (although it is nice to be able to still get stuff done around the house hehe)
Shannon gave birth to a baby girl on the 31st of july! Her name is Emma and she is ever so cute, i'm sure her and Amy will be good friends when they get older, they're only 23 days appart! And they have another little cousin on the way in October, we'll have to wait and see if that's a boy or a girl, I can't wait to find out! And Chantal is getting impatient haha.
Ashton has been spending loads of time here which is awesome, I'll be sad when he has to go back to school and it will only be weekends again. He is such a good kid!
Donny has gone back to work now, it's been two days and it's quiet without him! I went back to scimould last week to show off amy and things are crazy there, really busy, I'm happy I dont have to work there at the moment. The weather is still warm, we've had one hot summer! I am really happy we have AC or else I would have moved into our basement.
well that's about it for now, not a lot of interesting things to tell. Hope everyone is doing well!

11:04 am - Harry Potter!!

Hello!!
Well Ashton and I got our copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and I have finished it! I think him and I got to page 50 together and I finished the rest on my own as he had to go home saturdaymorning. I thought the book was totally awesome! I am a little worried about reading the last few chapters to Ashton just coz there is sooooo much going on and so much information I think we'll have to go over it a lot of times and talk about it a lot in order for him to understand it all. I'm looking forward to reading it again tho haha.
Getting the book together was a lot of fun although tiring. We didn't get out of the bookstore until 1am! He had fun doing all the activities tho and we took a break for a while at starbucks to get some coffee to stay awake. At midnight they started selling the book and it took us about an hour to get through the line-up. Not too bad considering how long it was!
Other than that haven't been doing all that much. Just hanging around the house and spending time with Amy. She is doing great! It looks like it's another hot day outside perhaps I should go and check while walking the dogs. They have been pretty good with the baby so far! Even Penny tries to be calm around her (although she sure doesn't appreciate all the attention that the baby gets lol) The cats don't even really seem to care! They've been around her for a bit sniffed her and were like " yeah whatever" and went on to do their usual thing lol. The dogs do get upset when she cries, especially penny, it's kind of cute.
Well that was it for now, gotta go have some breakfast. Hope all is well with everyone, take care!

9:00 am - Still here:)

Hello!
I'm still here and still loving being a mommy:) I can't believe Amy is getting close to being 2 weeks old already! She is doing absolutely great and is ever so cute:) She sleeps most of the day and at night she only wakes up once to eat so I can handle that pretty good (lets hope it will last! lol)
My mom, Ger and Nienke are all back in Holland now, saying goodbye was HARD it was awesome to have them over here and to get to know Ger (my moms boyfriend) a little better. And my sister and I never fought once during the entire three weeks!! (and anyone that knows us knows that is a very big deal! lol) I am so happy we got along so well and feel much closer to her now than ever:)
Last sunday I took Ashton to see the Order of the Phoenix. The movie was okay, I enjoyed it but it misses soooooo much from the book I was a little disappointed. I wanted to take ashton by myself to show him that we'll still do our things together even tho Amy is here now. So she stayed with Donny, at the end of the movie tho I really missed her and just wanted to go back home! Ashton and I had a good time tho so i'm happy that we went. On fridaynight we're gonna go down to chapters (bookstore) they have all sorts of activities going on and the kids can go dressed up as their fave harry potter character and then at midnight they start selling the books. We're very excited!:) And yes... I will read the last page first to see if he lives or dies haha.
anyway I better get going and have a shower before my little girl wakes up and wants to eat again. Take care!

Well it finally happened! On Sunday July 8th 2007, 1.19 pm (19.19 dutch time) our little babygirl Amy was born! With 3690 grams and 53 cm's long she's a lot bigger than I thought she would be! I am ever so happy and she is doing great! I will start up another Live-journal for her but it will be in dutch to keep my family & friends in Holland updated on how she's doing. I will be posting lots of pictures there, will post the address here once I get it going:)
For now here is some pictures of our little girl, enjoy!

Quick update, I went for my non-stress-test this morning and the doctor said if i'm still pregnant by sundaymorning when I come in for my next non-stress-test he will induce me then! (unless it's really superbusy...) Told me to bring my bag and be prepared to stay! So at least there is a final date in sight now!:) I'm still hoping it will happen before then, tonight is fine, tomorrow is good, saturday is fine too even tho I would like to have her sooner it WOULD be really cool to have 07-07-07 for her birthday... I'm still feeling fine! Hope you are all doing well, and who knows maybe the next update will be babynews!

10:46 am - still no baby....

Just thought i'd let you all know that it's July 4th today and I am still pregnant!!!
Saw my doctor yesterday, i'm 3-4 cm's dilated and she was surprised i was still walking around at all lol. She booked me for a non-stress-test on thursday and sunday, this is for them to make sure that the baby is still doing fine, and as of saturday I have to keep my phone on me at all times coz they might call me to get to the hospital to be induced (they actually have a waitinglist at the moment coz there's soooooo many women in barrie having babies) She told me however she still doesn't think I'll make it to any of those appointments coz she still thinks it will happen on it's own, and very soon! But then again that's what she said last week so i'm not taking her word for it anymore haha. I'm not sick and tired of being pregnant yet coz it's really not in my way but i'd like for Amy to show up now so that my mom/sister/ger still get to spend some time with her! Who knows, maybe today will be the day...

7:56 am - Due-date!!

Sooooooooooo still no baby yet. lol. Today is however my due-date so really it cannot be that much longer! (right??) When I went to the drs on tuesday she checked me, told me to make an appointment for next week but that she didn't think I would need it, I seriously thought i'd have the baby that day coz it felt like it but nothing happened. With my luck she will be born exactly when Donny said she'd be born, July 1st. I really didn't want that coz that's Canada day and it will be hard to plan bday parties for her etc. coz everyone will always have plans but oh well, she will come out when she wants to I guess! Tonight is supposed to be full moon and a lot of people are convinced she will show up tonight. We will see!
I am having a great time so far with my family over here:) i can't believe a whole week has gone by already time seems to be flying. Well that was it for now! Will keep you guys updated, lets hope my next post will be all about our new little baby!

Hello!
Well here's a quick update from me. My mom, Ger (her boyfriend) and my sister are all here now and i'm LOVING it!:) its so nice to have them over and i'm sooooooooo happy that Amy decided to stay in til they got here. ALthough now i'd like for her to be born haha. I had actually said it would happen yesterday but well i'm still very much pregnant today, guess I shouldn't be impatient since i'm not even due yet until saturday. Today I have another dr.s appointment so we will see what she says:)
I am also getting VERY excited about the final harry potter book which is less than a month away now! Yesterday I bought a book called " What will happen in Harry Potter 7" it's predictions as to what might happen and how things might end. It's so much fun to read all the theories now I only wish I had someone to discuss them with since no one here has actually bothered to read all the books (i know.....) and ashton is too young to actually have a good conversation with about all the different theories. So I will just settle for reading the book.
Being off work has been GREAT so far:) Donny is off work now too and we got soooo much done around the house. Okay I admit I didnt finish everything on my to do list but most of it got done. I will post pictures soon of Amy's and Ashton's rooms:)

4:01 pm - All done work

So it has really happened, I'm actually done work now. It feels kind of weird knowing that on monday I won't be getting up early to go to Scimould! I will still be going to scimould but only to pick up my record of employment so I can apply for maternity benefits. I feel I think I may have been able to work another week maybe even two if it hadn't been for the warm weather. On warm days it gets so hot in there I can't get anything done and it makes me feel sick. Now I have two weeks before my mom, her boyfriend and my sister come over and I have a two page long to-do-list of things that I want to get done before they get here. (most of it really is cleaning and organizing my house).
It looks as though the room in the basement will finally be finished today! Donny stayed up really late last night to finish the ceiling and we did all the trim this morning. He's downstairs there right now just painting the trim, I really wish I could help but i'm not allowed coz of the paint :S We have also bought some paint to paint ashton's shelves and some other stuff, Toronto Maple Leaf blue... will make his room look really awesome. I can't wait to start moving his stuff down there and have him all settled in. He's excited about it too! Then the room upstairs will be all empty (except for ashton's bed) and we can start painting that. That shouldn't take too long. We picked up a dresser for Amy as well, Travis and Melissa were getting rid of it but with some sanding and painting it will look brand new. So then I will finally have a place to put all her clothes!
Three weeks left until my due-date and I am now paranoid that she might be early! It had never even occured to me that that could happen until donny and my mom started talking about it. But this little lady knows that she is not to come out for at least another two weeks until my mom gets here!! I really hope she'll get here between the 25th - 30th. That will give my mom/sister time to still see me pregnant for a little bit, and after that it will still give them lots of time to spend with Amy before they have to go back.
There still seems so much to do and so little time to do it in, I feel sooo unorganized! I still haven't packed my hospital bag yet either (and you're supposed to do that a month before your due-date...) oh well Amy will get here regardless of wether we're ready or not and my mom says as long as she's fed and she has a place to sleep we'll be just fine. Let's hope eh!
Here's a ( picture ) of my pregnant belly at 37 weeks (today) The doctor said it's all baby in there and she'll probably be around 7 lbs. Monday I have to go see her again.

9:27 am - two weeks to go

Hello!
Two more weeks of work to go and thats it, then i'm done! I'm kinda happy about it because the last three days it was really hot at work and lets just say it wasn't pleasant. But I made it through:)
Last tuesday i had another appointment and it went great, I lost three pounds!! that was a big shocker but I was happy with it! lol The doctor said it was fine just to try and not lose anymore which is no problem coz I didnt try to lose those three anyway. I made sure to eat looooooots of chocolate this week:) My next appointment is June 4th and from then on I'll have to go see her every week... EEK!
Yesterday we spent the day at donny's mom's helping to clean up. There was a lot of junk/garbage on the side of the house (kind of a collection from everyone that moved in and out of there lol)They rented a big bin that we can just throw everything in so that makes for easy clean up:) makes a big difference to see that empty! I was tired out tho when we got home last night, dont think i'll be doing quite as much today or else I wont make it through five more days of work lol.
other than that not much planned for this week. Probably finish up the basement. The floor is in now, the walls are done, donny is just working on the trim and the ceiling and then it's all done:) I can't wait, it will be exciting to decorate it all for ashton and then get started on the room upstairs:)
For the time i'm off i have like one big thing planned every day that I want to do to get the house in order and i'm excited about getting started on that!
Now I should get started on breakfast and see what we're gonna do today. Take care!

Soooo the one thing we did so far today is walk the dogs and I took my camera. Here we were thinking the bugs wouldn't be that bad out yet... well I got bitten all over GRRR. The dogs had a good time tho which is important, they've had their run for today:)

8:21 am - Another update

Thought it was time for another update:)
Yay, the long weekend is finally here and I plan to enjoy my three days off! Donny was on afternoons (and is again next week) so it's nice to have the extra day to spend together and Ashton is here as well which is awesome:) We haven't been up to much other than trying to get the room in the basement finished. Donny and Jay did pretty good i'm hoping they'll be able to finish it this week or next and then we can start painting the room upstairs. There is only six weeks left til my due-date... EEK! six weeks is like nothing! I have three more weeks of work left and the last three weeks I plan to relax and do some stuff around the house that I really want done. On June 22nd my mom, her boyfriend and my sister are coming over and i'm sooooooooo excited!!
We dont have a lot planned for this weekend. The waterfront fest is on so might go check that out and we were talking about going to the drive in to see Shrek 3 and Spiderman 3, would be fun to do! Ashton had his birthdayparty for his friends last weekend, they played a ballhockey game and it was quite amusing to see Jay, Donny and Curtis (cousin) playing with all the kids. Donny was told beforehand by ashton " Uncle Jay is gonna be on my team dad... you can be on the other one..." had no faith in his dad whatsoever haha. But Donny did good coz was allowed to join the team later on ;)
When is that time that you stop being a hero to your child and just become their parent? At least he's not embarressed by us... yet! He is getting so excited about his babysister it is beyond cute. Offering to babysit once he's older and when we wanna go out, to pick her up from school, drive her places... I think i should get this stuff in writing so I can remind him when he's sixteen!
Pregnancy is still going great. At 34 weeks now and have another doctors appointment on tuesday. Another reason why it will be good to stop working a little early. It's getting harder to book doctors appointments all the time outside of work time. Especially now with working til four, thank god for my mommy-in-law who gives me rides all the time or else i'd have to take the bus and miss even more time! (even tho my OB is in barrie i'd still have to count on about an hour and a half from my work to there, with transfers etc.)
Well that was it for now i'm going to see what I can make for breakfast. Take care!

11:00 pm - Babyshower!

So it's been a busy couple of days! Last week Ashton and I celebrated our birthdays which was a ton of fun:) I got lots of stuff to pamper myself and also Donny and Ashton got me the first season of Everwood on DVD so that made me really happy! We got Ashton a Toronto Maple Leaf jersey which he loves so all in all it was good!:)
Then just worked all week. Doing just assembly now for the most part and I have to say it is much easier on me! I'm not as exhausted when I get home now and have decided that June 8th will be my last day of work. Meaning that there's 5 weeks left! It's been pretty quiet again tho, afternoonshift got laid off again so i'm back working 8-4 bleh! I really hate that shift. Oh well not much we can do about it I guess! Coz it was quiet we also got last friday off so I again did not work on my birthday! (I never have! ever!) Instead I went for lunch with Cynthia and also went shopping for a bit to get some summer clothes since I had none that I fit into anymore. It was a lot of fun:) In the evening I went for Coffee (tea) and cake with Lisa which was also fun. All in all a good birthday especially coz I also got to talk to my mom, dad, brother and sister:) Thanks for everyone who sent me a card and birthday wishes!
Today was my babyshower!! Eek! I was a little nervous since I'd never been to one, and didn't think that a lot of people would actually come! (such an inconvenience to have most your friends and family on the other side of the world lol). But it turned out to be great! There was quite a few people and I (well Amy really) got spoiled rotten!! We played some games which were a lot of fun and the food was great! My mommy in law organized it all with help of Diane and my sisters in law I believe and they did such a great job:) I feel very loved after today!
Tomorrow we're just going to relax since we're both back to work on monday, need some time to just sit and do nothing. The basement is coming along good! Will post some pictures soon:)

Hello!
Another update from me:) Everything is going great! The weather has gotten sooo much nicer which really helps to make me feel better and excited about this summer.
Last weekend we went to the Maple Sirup festival which was a blast:) Ashton and Tristian both enjoyed the rides. I will post some pictures later. The weather was awesome, I even got a little sunburned!
I had a lot better luck getting my glucose test done on thursday and my appointment on monday with the OB went fine as well. Amy is still head down (lets hope it stays that way) and is measuring just fine:) Her heartrate was 148 which is perfect:) The results from the glucose test were fine too so that is all good to hear!
Today I got home from work and there was mail!! I love getting mail:) There was a big envelope from my dad and a big envelope from my mom. They both sent me some little babyclothes, very cute! We're now starting to get a bunch which is good coz well there is only 9 weeks left! This weekend we're celebrating Ashton's and my birthdays, and the weekend after on the 5th is my babyshower which i'm very excited about! I just hope that there will be some people that show up! It's not easy having your friends and family living on the other side of the ocean lol.
Today I had a little water accident... I had thrown my water bottle in my purse as I was taking off for work. I didn't realise I hadn't put the cap on tight! So it leaked in my purse (quite a bit) and soaked everything, including my wallet and cellphone! I managed to save my pictures even tho they got a little wet (in my wallet) my cellphone I thought was broken. It wouldn't work anymore and when I did get it to work the speaker didnt work so i could make a phonecall but just not hear anything. Thank god by the end of the day it started working again. Guess I'll be double checking my waterbottle from now on! I have decided to work til June 8th! so that's seven more weeks to go (including this one) that shouldn't be too bad.
Now I really should go to the grocery store and get some food so I can cook dinner. I have been terrible with that lately! Also the dogs deserve to go for a nice walk. Just wish Laddie would stop being a jerk to other dogs so I'd feel more comfortable walking them! Also Penny has a new hobby... she'll sit on the stairs so she can look out the front window and barks at everyone that goes by, talk about annoying! They need a good run that's for sure. Will update more later with some pictures!

5:48 pm - Bad day!!

Okay so today was a bad day. Well work went alright actually just after work it wasn't fun.
Went to my OB last week and the visit went really well. She seems really nice and my second ultrasound came back clear so nothing to worry about:) Baby was head down and everything so it's all good:) Got my form to go for my Glucose test. Every pregnant woman has to have one of those done and stupid me didn't get it done last week when Donny was still on the same shift. noooooo I thought I could do it some time this week no problem. Of course i blanked out that I have to take the bus there and back. Which sucks enough as it is. But I also have to sit there and wait for an HOUR for the test. I get off at 3, and the latest any MDS lab is open here in barrie is 5! So today I finally told myself, just get it over and done with and you'll feel better. So I was all prepared, got on the bus after work, doesn't the freaking bus break down! Far away from work, and far away from home. Had to wait there for a bit, then got on the bus that was going the opposite direction. They all end up down town anyway. Finally got to the MDS lab at 4.15 they told me they couldn't do the test coz I would have to wait for an hour and they close at five... i seriously cried a little (must be the hormones).
So I walked to the bus terminal, wanted to buy a bag of chips and a magazine to cheer myself up. all ready at the register... sorry we don't accept DEBIT. Thank god there was an ATM machine not too far away. I then got on another bus that i knew would get me home at some point within an hour and so at 5.10 I finally got home. Spending 2 hours on a bus for absolutely no reason at all is NO fun.
It was a big wake up call for my appointment with the OB next monday. It's at 4 and i figured i could make it there by bus. Well that's way further than down town so I dont think I'll attempt it. Gotta get a hold of my mommy in law and see if she can take me. Tomorrow I will give my glucose test another try...
Didn't do much last weekend, just relaxed and spent time with the dogs which was much needed since we had been out all of last week. Went to a wedding on friday which was a lot of fun except for I was really tired since it was after work. Also went to Ikea, gotta love that store! we didnt' buy much but it was fun to look around:)
Anyway that is it for now dont want to make this post too long. I'm going to have a bath and RELAX!

7:51 am - Snowy Easter

Happy Easter everyone!
I hope the easterbunny has been good to you:) Ashton has gotten spoiled like always lol. We had easter at Donny's mom's yesterday which was a lot of fun. Him and Tristian found all the chocolates and had a blast:) I enjoyed myself with the thought that next year there will be 5 of them around to find all the chocolates!
I just sneaked downstairs and did the easterbunny's job at our house:) I can't believe Ashton is STILL believing the whole bunny story but he seriously is and oh well might as well enjoy it while it lasts. On Monday he's having easter at his mom's house so he is one lucky boy!
Forgot to mention that we bought a mini-van! Went to look at it last week with Jay, and he gave his OK. Said it was in good condition and worth the price. We should be able to pick it up tomorrow, which i'm very excited about! It's an automatic so I'll actually be able to drive it and who knows get my G2 some time soon.
I also have my first appointment with my OB tomorrow. Another thing i'm looking forward to. My familydoctor is great but the OB is all about babies lol. I'll get to book the hospital tour soon as well. It's crazy how fast time is flying by. Then on wednesday have to go see my familydoctor one more time and i think from then I'll switch over to seeing my OB every two weeks. But at least she's in barrie making it a whole lot easier to get there.

Hello!
Well today we went and got the 3D ultrasound done. A big reason was because I now really wanted to know for sure if it was a girl and after this ultrasound I really don't doubt it anymore, we saw her girly bits and everything haha. Her name will be:
Amy Madison Mary Crowe
The whole experience was amazing and was worth every single penny (and the long drive) she turned from being this baby I know is in my belly to this little person I was actually able to see! We were in there for 20 minutes and the people were so friendly and explained everything. We got a cd full of pictures and a dvd as well. She is so little and pretty, she actually looks like Ashton! Some of you might find the pictures a bit creepy because of the way they look, I know that I always thought they were creepy but maybe because this is my own baby they dont seem creepy whatsoever. She's my little girl!

Soooo I had my ultrasound today. The whole thing was kind of boring and a long wait. I wasn't allowed to see a single thing, and donny wasn't allowed to come into the room either. But at the end of it I got a very nice surprise....
Yup, the lady there said she was pretty sure it's a girl!! They of course can't garantuee anything (this is north america, they'd get sued left right and center (they have been...) but she said she had a pretty good look lol. I am sooooo excited! I honestly thought it was a boy, it came as such a big shock when she said it's a babygirl!
Will update more later, have to make dinner now:)
